Producing and Festivals and Event Direction/Management
As Lead Consultant David Hill has an extensive background as a theatre producer, director and practitioner.
In 2008 ArtReach produced and delivered the worlds largest interactive video installation, Under Scan by Mexican/Canadian artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer (www.lozano-hemmer.com) for ten nights in Trafalgar Square. ArtReach originally commissioned Under Scan, on behalf of East Midlands Development Agency for presentation in Lincoln, Leicester, Northampton, Derby and Nottingham in 2006. The piece was also presented at Venice Biennale in 2007.
Between 2005/07 ArtReach was responsible for the design and delivery of the major Three Cities Create and Connect programme on behalf of Derby, Leicester and Nottingham City Councils. This comprised six key strands of new commissions and festival work encompassing:

* urban festivals
* film commissioning
* spectacular events
* public art
In 2004 Artreach creatively directed and coordinated the following major programmes:
Barcelona Showcase event at the MACBA
Dance in the Park for Slough Borough Council
Decibel Live for Arts Council England East Midlands
ArtReach has undertaken programming, marketing (including web site design) and press, event coordination and development of full infrastructure, stage and production management and delivery.
Dance in the Park generated an audience of over 6,000 for seven continuous hours of dance performance, encompassing ten professional companies and performances by over twenty schools and community groups.
Decibel Live involved performances at five venues across the East Midlands in Derby, Leicester, Nottingham, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, plus nine cutting edge visual arts exhibitions and installations. back to top
Vision and Programming
ArtReach brings considerable expertise in working with organisations and artists to help shape and articulate artistic vision and to develop programming strategy. A number of key ArtReach personnel have themselves been working practitioners in theatre, music performance and visual arts.
ArtReach has acted as Creative Director for many events and programmes of work, identifying, programming and contracting appropriate artists and companies.
The work with new capital projects has often involved the ArtReach team in working with Board and staff members to develop definition and ownership of the concept Vision, Mission, Aims and Objectives back to top
Organisation and Strategic Development
ArtReach has worked with many clients including Fermynwoods Contemporary Art, Mandinga Arts, Asian Arts Agency, Kinetika, Hampshire Dance, Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Radiator, Wysing Arts, The New Art Exchange, Wigan Pier Theatre, Threshold Studios, Beacon Arts and Nottingham Studios to review organisational structure and operation.
The work has usually culminated in development of a new Three Year Development Plan often in association with significant new funding applications.
In 2004/05 ArtReach worked with Artist Work Space and Open Studio Groups across the East Midlands to put a strategic development approach in place. back to top
Funding Strategy and Fundraising
Fundraising is integral to all ArtReach work. ArtReach acts as an advocate for its clients in addition to preparing and writing Funding Strategies and delivering individual funding bids.

Cultural Diversity
Artreach enjoys working with a range of culturally diverse clients, from individual artists to major new capital projects such as The Peepul Centre in Leicester.
ArtReach has clients from African Caribbean, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Indian and African communities.
The organisation has worked extensively with the Asian Arts Agency in Bristol to help support its development as a region wide agency, been responsible for successful fundraising for London Notting Hill Carnival and Ebony Steelband and supported development of touring programmes for Swar Vishvam (Sandeep Raval) and the Alpana Sengupta Dance Company. ArtReach is currently working with Refugee Week UK on the Celebrating Sanctuary Festival and a major development programme to support refugee arts. back to top
