Mandinga Arts carnival costumes

Participate in Bath summer carnival project

ArtReach is coordinating a community workshop project leading to a carnival procession in Bath city centre on Saturday 25th August (2-3.30pm) as part of the Paralympics Flame Event.

We are recruiting 80 local people to take part in this exciting project and to perform in the parade wearing stunning costumes designed by Mandinga Arts. There are opportunities to participate in Bath (Gateway Centre, London Rd, Snowhill), Keynsham (at St John’s Parish Hall), Radstock (St Peter’s Church Hall) and Peasedown (Youth Hub, Bath Rd).

No previous experience is necessary and participation is completely free. Those joining the project will help to make costumes and have the option to take part in the parade. There are places for all ages from 8 upwards. See here full details of the opportunities available and when workshop activities take place. If you are interested but don’t quite fit the ages or times indicated then please get in touch and we’ll see how you can get involved.
