David Hill has thirty years’ experience in strategic cultural consultancy, arts management, and theatre and arts event direction. His career has combined senior management and chief executive experience through commercial and subsidised theatre and community arts sectors. He has been a successful theatre practitioner and director (Everyman Theatre Cheltenham; Theatre Station Blyth, Northumberland) working with many national and international artists, and was the first Marketing Director at the 2,000 seat Birmingham Hippodrome. David established ArtReach in 1996, leading the organisation through to its current status as charity and Arts Council England NPO. He has been an adviser to several Arts Council England regional offices and a board member and Trustee (Vice Chair) of Curve, Leicester and Chair of Leicester Arts Festivals. He is currently Vice Chair of Winchester Theatre Royal, in which capacity he is Chair of Hat Fair, the UK’s oldest street arts festival.
