Curzon Cinema restoration

Curzon Cinema restoration (stage 1)

ArtReach helped secure Heritage Lottery funding and project managed restoration and heritage interpretation of the historic Curzon Cinema in Clevedon.

The Curzon Cinema in Clevedon has been continuously screening since it opened several days after the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. Grade 11 listed, it boasts the finest example of pressed metal interior decoration in the UK and the UK’s foremost collection of cinema projection equipment. ArtReach worked with trustees, staff and volunteers to secure £325,000 HLF funding; to design, create and project manage a new exhibition of heritage interpretation and equipment display; and to project manage restoration of the building to secure its future and to make historic features visible and accessible.
