Journeys Festival International celebrates the creative talent of exceptional refugee and asylum seeker artists and shares refugee experience through great art and culture. Produced by ArtReach, the third edition of the festival takes place in different venues in Manchester from 4 – 14 October 2018.
Journeys 2018 covers our wider work outside of the festival and includes producing events as part of Refugee Week across the city from 19 – 23 June 2018. These events take place in various venues including HOME, the Whitworth, Manchester Museum, and an outdoor event at the Albert Park in Salford in collaboration with the British Red Cross and other partners.
In order to deliver a brilliant programme of events for Refugee Week, we are seeking a team of enthusiastic volunteers to carry out a variety of roles including supporting artists and workshops, and assisting with evaluation tasks. As well as covering some expenses for all volunteers, we hope that participating in the event will provide a rewarding and enjoyable experience!
Volunteers (aged 18+) are needed from Tue 19 – Sat 23 June, and shifts can be arranged around your availability. Volunteers will have a full briefing session (date to be confirmed) before Refugee Week.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Nuria López: firstname.lastname@example.org before Wed 30 May 2018, with the following information:
