Following our exciting and productive work creating a 10 Year Strategic Vision for the Arts in Luton, ArtReach has now been appointed by Thurrock Council to develop its Cultural Strategy.

Over the next three to four months the ArtReach team will be consulting widely with the arts, heritage and creative industries sector in Thurrock, and also with local communities.  Our work will encompass artists, professional arts organisations and venues, community arts groups, and the education and amateur arts sector.

Thurrock Council Cabinet Member Cllr Sue MacPherson said “Thurrock Council is delighted to have appointed ArtReach to help develop its Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy. ArtReach brings great expertise and experience to a process which we are sure will be interesting, demanding and productive!”

Having undertaken some earlier feasibility work on development of the Thameside Theatre in Grays, we are looking forward to hearing more about local aspirations and vision for arts and heritage across the Thurrock area. We anticipate an Arts and Heritage Strategy being in place before the end of autumn 2017.
