Creative Director

Salary £45,000 – £50,000

 

ArtReach artreach.biz is a dynamic Creative Producer and Cultural Development Agency with Arts Council England Band 2 NPO status. The organisation has a diverse Board of trustees and a strong mission to “make great art possible and accessible, connecting art with grassroots and diverse communities to forge creative engagement”.

A registered charity, the organisation delivers a substantial portfolio of UK Arts Festivals (including Journeys Festival International), and provides high level consultancy support to a wide range of arts and cultural organisations, as well as Local Authorities. In 2019 ArtReach was the only UK organisation selected to lead a Large Scale Creative Europe collaboration project. LIBERTY involves 12 partner organisations across 10 countries with a secure grant of £1.3 million Euros. The project runs until 2023.

We are now seeking to appoint an exceptional creative leader in a newly defined role of Creative Director, which incorporates the CEO function. The postholder will work closely with the ArtReach General Manager in leading the Senior Management Team.

Our Creative Director will lead the organisation’s creative direction and programme development both in the short term, and in shaping an exciting future for the organisation as we prepare to submit a new application for the next round of the Arts Council England (ACE) National Portfolio in late 2021. The appointed person will be ambitious, well networked and capable of delivering to our strategic and business plans.

 

ArtReach has a turnover of circa £1,000,000 and employs 16 members of staff across three offices in Leicester, Manchester and Portsmouth. The main base is Leicester and the postholder would ideally be based in the Midlands, however, there is some flexibility to negotiate on this.   ArtReach is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
