ArtReach Director, David Hill, has been invited to present and share the company’s JOURNEYS project at the important European Culture Forum 2017 in Milan on 7 December.

JOURNEYS is a Creative Europe funded project, with ArtReach as Lead Partner that develops strands of the ArtReach Journeys Festival International for delivery in a range of European locations. The aim of the project is to showcase and celebrate the talents of exceptional refugee artists and to share refugee experiences through great art.
JOURNEYS has been delivered in Rome, Palermo, Budapest, Hamburg, Manchester, Portsmouth and Leicester. The key strands of work are – Look Up – an Outdoor Art Gallery presenting artwork in high impact public locations; Container theatre, with new performance work involving refugee participants as storytellers and performers; and Coffee Shop Conversations/Salon events enabling discourse and debate involving refugee artists, refugee support organisations, and the wider public.

In securing Creative Europe support for JOURNEYS, ArtReach was one of only 12 projects to achieve funding across the whole of Europe. We are delighted to now have the opportunity to present the outcomes in Milan.
