ArtReach is a founder member of the Leicester Arts Festivals (LAF) network, now established as a formally constituted body, with ArtReach Director, David Hill, acting currently as Chair.

LAF is delivering a stimulating debate event “How do Festivals tie into the identity of a city?” as part of De Montfort University Cultural Exchanges on wed 2 March (3-4.30pm).

Cultural Exchanges is a high profile annual Festival delivered through the Arts and Festivals Management programme at De Montfort University, Leicester. The LAF event will be chaired by Adel Al-Salloum, Director of The Spark Children’s Arts Festival with guest speakers Philip Dodd (presenter of Radio 3 programme Free Thinking and senior consultant to Shanghai earts) and Tony Reekie (long standing Director of Imaginate). David Hill will share an introduction to the role of Leicester Arts Festivals.

This promises to be a lively discussion and debate session, focusing on the question of where Leicester should take its Festivals identity over the next ten years!
