Volunteers make it happen. Working alongside a Festival Ambassador, you will be positioned with individual installations for the duration of the shift, encouraging visitors to interact with the work and be on hand to help with any queries.

Dates and Times:

Volunteers must be available for training and at least one other full shift.

7:30pm – 9:00pm Wednesday, 2nd March (Training)

4:00pm – 10:30pm Thursday, 3rd March – Sunday, 6th March (4 x Events days)

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • To assist with maintaining the high standards of customer service delivered throughout the festival
  • Providing information to visitors about the installation and all aspects of the festival programme
  • Helping visitors to navigate the city centre
  • To keep a record of visitor attendance and capture any evaluative information required
  • Maintaining a tidy and well-presented installation space
  • Managing audience use of the space, supporting queuing or crowds where appropriate

Person Specification:

  • Motivated and enthusiastic with an interest in arts and culture
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be willing to talk to members of the public
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • A good knowledge of the festival and the local area

Please note, this is not a paid role. Volunteers will have access to the festival hub and refreshments.
