ArtReach is delighted to announce that its innovative, multi artform event, Night of Festivals 2012 has been included in the prestigious group of events and projects that make up the London 2012 Festival.

The spectacular 12-week nationwide celebration from 21 June and running until 9 September 2012 will bring together leading artists from across the world with the very best from the UK.

Night of Festivals 2012 celebrates the values of freedom and democracy through artistic innovation and “welcomes the world” with a focus on global artistic creation. The second day of Night of Festivals 2012, on Friday 22 June, isformally part of the London 2012 Festival and takes place in Nottingham’s Old Market Square from 11am – 11.30pm.

The Programme will include:

A spectacular evening carnival parade (8.30-10pm on 22 June), featuring the

exquisite design and performance work of Mandinga Arts and Brazilian samba

costume, music and dance from Paraiso Samba.

A vibrant world music programme on the Live Music Stage with Latin American

band Conjunto Sabroso playing sets to complement the carnival parade.

Projections on the Big Screen of short moving image created by world artists and

including representation from North America, China and the Middle East.

ArtReach Nanoplex installation screening of a specially curated programme of

moving image in “the world’s smallest moving image gallery”, featuring digital

artists from six continents.

Visual art installations and street theatre interventions.

A special feature Haitian arts section, including carnival performance and visual
