Corby Mardi Gras returned for the third year on Saturday March 30th. Produced by ArtReach in partnership with Made in Corby, Corby Mardi Gras invited the community to celebrate together at an enchanting event which spread across the town like wildfire!
Audiences were delighted by a day of street theatre performances, live music, inspirational sound installations and captivating illuminated sculptures. Featuring, music from King Brasstards & Deep Roots Tall Trees amongst others. Award-winning, outdoor theatre specialists, Highly Sprung Performance Co. performed a new show, ‘Journeys of Home’ featuring local people who have made Corby their home.
Arts charity Same Sky, whose colorful illuminated lantern sculptures have been the centre of the woodland promenade since the first Mardi Gras, stunned audiences with an enchanting evening display of colorful creations. Through a series of workshops the illuminated promenade featured work by the local school children and community too.
